At the Regina Coeli on Good Shepherd Sunday, Pope Francis reminds us that Jesus loves us without limit, giving His life for us. He prays that we may go meet the Lord and allow ourselves "to be welcomed and lifted up by the loving arms of our Good Shepherd." Greeting the crowds in Saint Peter's Square for the midday Regina Coeli, Pope Francis reflected on the Gospel reading for this Fourth Sunday of Easter dedicated to Jesus the Good Shepherd. The Lord repeats three times that "the good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep," the Pope observed, underscoring that He loves each and every one of us without limit and sacrificed his life for us.Read more...
Today the Church celebrates the feast of a young saint St. Dominc Savio (02 April 1842 – 9 March 1857) who died at the young age of 14 years. During his short lifetime, his holiness and purity stood out amongst his peers. He is the patron saint of children’s choir, falsely accused people and juvenile delinquents. He was mentored by Saint Don Bosco who wrote his biography The Life of Dominic Savio. He was canonized a saint by Pope Pius XII on 12 June 1954 making him (at that time) the youngest non-martyred saint in the Catholic Church. Because of his age, some were of the opinion that he was too young to be canonized. But Pope Pius X started the process of canonization and Dominic Savio was declared Venerable in 1933 by Pope Pius XI and was beatified in 1950 by Pope Pius XII. At his canonisation, Pope Pius XII described him as “small in size, but a towering giant in spirit.”Read more...

As he knelt before the vision, Our Lady asked him to go to his confessor and exhort the people to prayer and penance.
